Heren,
Complimenten hoor; en eeuwige roem voor Tom en Wilfried...
Nog een plaatje van de voorkant:

The Brazilian Alfa story starts back in 1942. A new factory called the Fabrica Nacional de Motores (FNM) was created by general Edmundo Soares and Brigadier General Antonio Muniz in Rio de Janeiro. Initially, the factory produced aeronautical engines, ammunition, bicycles, spindles and refrigerators, but on 14 January 1949 the plant struck a partnership with the Italian truck manufacturer isotta Fraschini to build trucks under license.
In post war years Alfa Romeo global business contacts were strong. Alfa Romeo’s were being produced in South Africa, Thailand and Malasia. The 1900 Berlina was also built in Argentina.
FNM’s first license-built Alfa Romeo car bowed in 1960 in the form of the FNM-2000 modelo JK, a license-built Demila (2000) Berlina.
FNM was interested in producing their own unique models. This resulted in the Onca, the unabashed Ford Mustang look-alike. The Onca resulted after Genaro “Rino” Malzoni, creator of the Brazilian GT Malzoni and Cougar, was invited by FNM to work on a sportscar project using the mechanicals of the FNM 2000 (Berlina)
The Onca name refers to the largest wild cat in the Panthera family (Jaguar) and lives practically all over Brazil.
The Onca was handcrafted and limited production only, with Rino producing the bodies in Matao city, Sal Paulo. However, the car’s production was to be brief, with production stopping the following year and with less than ten examples every being built it has remained a true rarity to this day.
