Ik spreek aleen een beetje Nederlands. Dus ik moet in Engels schrijven- sorry.

I'm coming to live in Ned (Den Haag) from the US and want to bring my 2010 Mustang GT with me. I was hoping I could find some information here about the RDW test and how I can pass it. Does anybody know of good companies that can convert American cars for use on Dutch roads? My car has factory fit Xenons and I'm worried that without washers and self levelling it will never pass the inspection. I also believe I have to have side indicators fitted, a rear foglight and the cool looking sequential indicators disabled .

Any help you can give me would be much appreciated, I'm losing sleep because I fear I'm going to lose my Mustang. I tried a search but it's really hard for me in Dutch.

Good thing you found the forum! Im sure there are plenty of people here who can help you with importing your Mustang, as most of the members got their Mustang from overseas. You can ask members like Ton BlingBling, Hollandranch, Hennie (Lek IMport), Danny Geevers,Sjuul Dillisse (US car delivery), and probably a couple more I'm forgetting atm.

RDW is no big problem over here, for they know the Mustang!(however somtimes they can be a pain in the ass). We have a couple of good companies for your Mustang overhere:

LEK Import cars.
American horse power.
Movie cars.

etc. etc. They all make advertising on this great Mustang forum, so do a seek function or Google. The Netherlands have a good
Mustang community and also a great Mustang owners club!. They can be a big help with the RDW test etc. So no more sleepless nights for you than

Welcome!!! Like others said, there are a couple of people on this forum whose business is importing American cars. My Mustang was imported without any amendment to the original car, even though it is supercharged, all-American and very loud.

We'd love to see pics!

He imported my 2007 Saleen PJ and handled the conversion / license stuff.

Ken de RDW niet dus kan niet antwoorden op zen vraag. Maar denk niet dat dit een zwaar probleem mag zijn

Lots of helpful links there. The main problem as said is the RDW, shipping is not a real problem as I live next to the port of Houston which ships direct to Europoort.

I'm going to contact Lekimport and see if they can help.

Welcome to our forum. Nice Mustang and good to know you're planning to bring it with you to The Hague.
Depending on your personal status when you move to The Netherlands, importing and Dutch registration of your Mustang might be easier than you think.
Hennie Lek will probably know more about that.

I can make some inquiries through my contacts at work. At Mercedes-Benz Den Haag, we have quite a few foreign customers with an expat or diplomatic status.

When are you planning to move?

Welcome in our town I'd like to say. Since there are not so much 2010 cars here, I guess The Hague will be pretty much more beautiful when it arrives. You can join the Cruise Brothers' Saturday Night Cruise on every 1st saturday of the month when you're here and than you can meet some of us. I haven't seen a 2010 Mustang on the SNC yet.
