It looks like it might be possible to use a C3 bellhousing to adapt the early A4LD 4-speed automatic to a 200. The A4LD was developed by adding the OD gearset to the front of the C3, so the pump and mounting look the same.

Torque converter lockup control can be via a 700R4 type of pressure and vacuum switch.
